We provide internal audit and other risk management services to over 50 organisations, including approximately 20 housing associations. The firm stays at the cutting edge of internal audit, using dedicated staff who specialise in internal audit and are required to apply the firm’s standard methodology. This ensures consistency in the quality of our service, from whichever office staff are drawn. Our internal audit approach is based on best practice standards, is fully compliant with the Government Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), CIPFA guidelines, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and other professional standards.
We act for 130 social housing clients as internal and external auditors, taxation advisors or general consultants or advisors. A separate “Board” of partners and managers oversees our work in social housing, which is chaired by our National Head of Social Housing, whose responsibilities include:
- developing our services to meet the requirements of the sector
- ensuring we disseminate information and good practice throughout our teams
- organising training and technical support for partners and staff involved in the work
- utilising our national resources to serve clients cost effectively, drawing staff from appropriate offices with relevant skills
- responding on behalf of the firm to consultation papers issued by the Government, Tenant Services Authority and the National Housing Federation
- organising seminars, publications and our website to keep clients informed of the latest developments in the sector.
