You’ve seen the film, now come to the seminar!  This meeting, which will be held in the Council Chamber at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, 3, Robert Street, London, has a theme of awareness of what is happening around us, with a line-up of  top level speakers:

• Piers Williamson, Chief Executive of the Housing Finance Corporation, will present a session titled "War Stories: HAs in Financial Distress"
• Nigel Phethean of the Campbell Tickell consultancy was co-author of the Housing Corporation publication “With the Best of Intentions: Learning from Problem Cases III”.  He will alert us to the warning signs of failing governance.
• Andrew Townsend, Chief Executive of TIAA Ltd will be present to hear your views on the HIAF Internal Audit Programme Guides and ideas for the future.
• Rafael Runco is the Deputy Housing Ombudsman, and will highlight those issues that give rise to greatest complaint by our residents.
• The Directorate of Housing Strategy and Support within the Department for Communities and Local Government is responsible for the development of government housing policy and strategy in a number of housing management areas, including choice based lettings.  A speaker from the Division will update us on the future direction of this very topical issue.
