TSA briefing about recent fraudulent activity

We have received a bulletin from the Tenant Services Authority regarding fraudsters attempting to alter supplier bank details. This is an issue that we have previously highlighted to members, in conjunction with the National Anti Fraud Network (who issue regular fraud bulletins to their members).

Hopefully our members' controls are picking up such attempts, and we would encourage our members to gather as much evidence as possible (original documents that may contain fingerprints, phone recordings etc.) and report such attempts to the Police (online reports can be made through Action Fraud) and the Tenant Services Authority. If you want to keep HIAF informed contact Paul McLoughlin.

If your organisation becomes aware of any new area of fraudulent activity, do contact Paul McLoughlin so that other HIAF members can be made aware through our newsletter.
