New financial management guidance published
Evidence from nine RSLs placed under Housing Corporation supervision has formed the basis of a new financial management guide published by the agency. The guidance, called In brief: Learning from financial problems, includes advice on liquidity and treasury management, control of growth, business planning, project appraisal, stock investment, management accounting, accounting policies and audit. There are also interviews with senior executives involved in resolving the various associations’ problems. The guide can be downloaded from the Publications section of www.housingcorp.gov.uk
