Retirement for Charles
Many of you will know Charles Pilbeam of New Linx Housing Trust, who has just taken early retirement. He took the time to send these kind wishes and words to HIAF and is happy for us to share them with you:
“Just a brief note to let you know that I have decided to take advantage of an opportunity for early retirement, and as a consequence it is unlikely that I will be attending any future HIAF events or meetings.
”Before I depart (on 30 April), I would like to say a big thank you to all the stalwarts of HIAF who have done such an excellent job since I attended my first meeting back in 2000. I will miss coming to the HIAF events and especially the annual conference.
“As you know, I have always tried to get our audit committee members involved in the annual conference and I hope that whoever picks up my audit role will continue to adopt the same approach.
“Thanks again for your efforts and your help when I have asked for it. I wish yourself and HIAF all the best for the future.”
