HIAF Conference 2010 - "All Change in Social Housing"

The year 2010 is another year of change. New regulatory standards, a general election, a public sector short of cash - these are just some of the things we already know about. The only unchanging thing about change is its constancy - we no longer expect anything to stay the same for long, and our success or failure can hinge on changing course at the right time.

Internal audit will continue to provide assurance on the management of risk, and we need to be aware of the requirements of our stakeholders as well as the professional standards for internal audit that guide our actions. The programme for this conference has been planned with these contrasting viewpoints in mind, and seeks a balance between considering what is required of us, and what we want to provide. We welcome stakeholders and auditors alike in a forum where differing views can be expressed and discussed in a relaxed and comfortable way, and we welcome registrations from in-house auditors, external providers, board members, audit contract managers, regulators, trade bodies and anyone else with an interest in housing internal audit.
