Who runs HIAF

The work of HIAF is directed by an elected Executive Committee, which comprises of a Chairman and other officers, elected by the membership. Currently the Executive Committee has four other members covering IT, membership services, technical services and communications and PR.

Our objective

Our mission is to be a beacon for best practice in internal auditing in housing associations and other registered providers of social housing. To support our mission our objectives are to promote best practice in internal audit within registered providers.

Join HIAF

HIAF seeks to grow its membership as it fulfils its mission to be a beacon of best practice in internal audit in the housing sector.

Membership is available to any social housing organisation, external providers of internal audit services, regulators, and trade and professional bodies, who must nominate a named representative(s) to whom correspondence will be addressed and who may attend meetings.

We actively encourage all members to participate in the initiatives of HIAF, whether on a formal or informal basis, eg. running workshops, holding office, helping with exhibition stands or in assisting with the organisation of a conference.
